Aylin Berna Zamandar Başoğlu

Aylin Berna Zamandar Başoğlu is a dedicated scholar deeply engaged in the study of digital games, new media, and cinema. Her academic journey is marked by a keen interest in exploring the narrative complexities and interactive dramaturgy that define digital gaming environments. Her notable Master's thesis, “The Reflection of The Character Phenomenon in The Cinema Narrative Structure to Digital Games: Interactive Dramaturgy and Heroism,” was completed in 2021 at Ege University's Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema. This study meticulously explores the intertwining of cinematic narrative methods and digital game storytelling, presenting innovative viewpoints on the role of the player in interactive media environments. Currently advancing her academic career, Zamandar Başoğlu is pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication Studies at Kadir Has University. Her doctoral research continues to push the boundaries of how digital narratives and user interfaces converge within the realm of gaming and virtual realities. Since 2019, Başoğlu has contributed to academia as a research assistant, sharing her expertise and passion for digital media across various educational platforms. Her current position at Beykoz University's Department of Cartoon and Animation allows her to explore the synergies between animation, storytelling, and digital games further.
