Aruna Rao S. L.

Aruna Rao S. L. completed her BE in 2001, M.Tech in 2006 and received her Ph.D degree from the JNTUH, Hyderabad .She has 15 years of teaching experience and is currently working as founder HoD, Department of Information Technology at BVRITH. She has been awarded Jyeshta Acharya Puraskar in the year 2021, Uttam Acharya Puraskar in the year 2019. In addition to teaching and guiding UG and PG students she has mentored students who are part of Mentorship Programs at Top MNCs like Microsoft, Amazon Campus Mentorship Series by Amazon India and Grace Hopper Competition India. She is also a recognised mentor for Smart India Hackathon2017, mentor for JNTUH Excite 2015 and has received a seed amount of 15k.Her areas of research include Computer Networks & Web Security. She has received a research grant from DST TIDE for developing Medicine Recognition System and Alerting device for Geriatrics and Visually challenged, Microsoft AI for Earth grant . She has 18 paper publications in reputed journals and conferences, 1 patent granted, 2 Patents published and is also an author of book titled “Network security “. She is a member of Board of Studies for Engineering college, member of Governing Body at BVRITH and one of the board members for Artificial Intelligence Medical and Engineering Researchers Society.
