Armand Gilinsky

Armand Gilinsky, Jr . recently retired as Professor Emeritus of Business and as the F.J. Korbel and Bros. Professor of Wine Business at Sonoma State University, where he taught strategy and entrepreneurship since 1994. His most recent book is Business Strategy for a Better Normal (Springer, 2023). He was Director of SSU’s Entrepreneurship Center and Director of the Wine Business Institute. He previously held teaching appointments at the Harvard Business School, CSU East Bay, and Northeastern U. Dr. Gilinsky has extensive consulting experience in strategic planning, competitive strategy, and developing business and financial plans. He has authored over 50 published business case studies and articles on strategy and socially responsible entrepreneurship. In 2011, he was President of the North American Case Research Association, a group of some 500 case research professionals. In 2013, he received the University Award for Excellence in Scholarship from Sonoma State. He was the founding editor of the Wine Business Journal from 2014-2020. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Policy from Henley Business School/Brunel University (London), and the A.B. and A.M degrees rom Stanford U.
