Aparna Tiwari

Aparna Tiwari is Associate Professor of Sociology at Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan. Her main area of research includes Gender, Development and Natural Resource Management in society. Her academic writings have been published in journals of national and international repute. She has also authored a book ‘Political Economy of Water’. She is an associate member of Women Studies and Research Centre, Banasthali Vidyapith and engaged in teaching, research and extension activities of the centre. Having keen interest in development policies and interventions, she has worked in research projects supported by development agencies like NABARD and UNDP. She is a recipient of NFP Award for attending a course at UNESCO-IHE (Institute for Water Education) Delft, The Netherlands. She is also a member of the Indian Sociological Society and Ethnographic and Folk Culture Society and strives continuously for making constructive contributions to the discipline.
