Annette E. Craven

Annette E. Craven , PhD, CPA, ACC, is an international faculty member of École des Ponts in Paris, France where she has been the subject matter expert in qualitative research and a dissertation/culminating experience supervisor since 2016. She is emeritus from University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) where she served 20 years and was a tenured full professor of business. Dr. Craven earned her PhD in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Human Communications at University of Denver where her final dissertation was a mixed methods study in the topic of continuous program improvement in accreditation. She continued to develop her methodology skills, ultimately becoming an expert in qualitative research methods and supervising hundreds of dissertations and theses. The dissertation also became the cornerstone of her future, which included a long-term affiliation with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). While continually advancing her expertise in accreditation, she also became a national Malcolm Baldrige Quality Performance examiner and served for nearly 10 years working with higher education, manufacturing, healthcare, and small businesses on continuous improvement paths. Dr. Craven has served on multiple editorial boards throughout her career. She has completed multiple licensures and certifications--Certified Public Accountant, ICF Accredited Certified Coach, IPEC Certified Professional Coach, Energy Leadership Master, Practitioner, Core Transitions Dynamics Specialist, John Maxwell DISC Trainer, Myers-Briggs Administrator—resulting in the launch of her successful company, AEC Coaching, LLC. As an emeritus professor, Dr. Craven continues her scholarly research activity with colleagues at UIW and the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio.
