Anita Medhekar is a senior lecturer in economics and holds a PhD from Deakin University, Australia. She has completed her double master’s in education and pure Economics from Pune University and University of New England, Australia. She has taught at undergraduate and post graduate levels in India, Indonesia, and Australia and has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience. Currently, she is teaching at Central Queensland University, Australia. Her research interests are in applied International Trade, Tourism Economics, Health Economics, Gender and Development Economics, Asia-Pacific Economies, Public Finance, South-Asia, Australian Economy, Bilateral Trade and Development for Peace, Supply Chains, Public Policy, and Public-Private Partnerships. Anita has contributed extensively to IGI global chapters and edited two books published by IGI Global around the topics of “Evaluating Trade and Economic Relations Between India and Southeast Asia and “Strategic Cooperation and Partnerships Between Australia and South Asia: Economic Development, Trade, and Investment Opportunities Post-COVID-19".. She has presented papers at numerous international conferences and received best research paper awards. Anita has numerous refereed publications in journals, conference proceedings, with edited books, and book chapters to her credit.
