Animesh Laha

Animesh Laha , an Assistant General Manager at Welspun India Limited, specializes in Material, fibrous structures, nonwoven structures, fibre orientation, fibrous composites and polymer composites. He obtained his Ph.D. in Textile and Fibre Engineering from IIT Delhi, where a wide range of fibrous structures for soft body armour development was explored. His doctoral research primarily focused on the development of soft body armour using textile weave structures treated with shear thickening fluid. With more than 9 years of experience in research and development, Dr. Laha has authored more than 15 research papers, 4 book chapetrs and delivered presentations at over 15 conferences of National and International repute. His primary interest involves advancing the field of fibrous material design for high-end applications. His current research interest includes sustainable textiles, technical textiles with natural materials and polymer composites.
