Ana Lúcia Sargento

Ana Lúcia M. Sargento holds a master and PhD in Economics, with specialization in Regional Development and Planning. She has worked as a professor and researcher in the field of Economics, with a focus in Regional Economics, since 1998. She is an integrated member of CARME (Centre of Applied Research in Management and Economics - Polytechnic Institute of Leiria), having assumed the coordination of this research unit between January 2018 and December 2019. She participated in 12 R&D projects in the last 10 years, co-authored 2 books, 5 book chapters, 10 articles in internationally renowned scientific reviews and 25 articles in national and international conferences. She was Vice-President of the Polytechnic of Leiria between May 2018 and September 2022, being responsible for the area of society engagement and innovation and assuming the direction of the Centre for Knowledge Sharing and Valorisation of the Polytechnic of Leiria.
