Amy May

Amy May , PhD is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at the University of Alaska Troth Yeddha'. She remains committed to understanding how messages related to science and health are created, distributed, and received by target audiences. From developing a text messaging system for low income pregnant to understanding the impact of parental disclosure of HIV on children, Dr. May is committed to using communication as a tool to promote health and wellness. Additionally, Dr. May maintains an active research agenda related to challenging existing power structures across contexts. She has served as co-editor for three edited volumes, including (2023), (2022), and (2020). Her research is available for review in , and ORCID: 0000-0003-2108-7013
