Amy Maturen

Amy Maturen is dually licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida.  She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision along with her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Capella University. She is certified in Play Therapy and Mindfulness.  She serves as the Clinical Director of Lutheran Counseling Services in Winter Park, Florida while also providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families.  Her specialties include chronic illness, caretakers, and grief.  She has two years of experience as an Adjunct Professor in the Counseling Department of Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma working with Masters level students and recently began as an Adjunct at Walden University.  In addition to teaching, she has been a University Supervisor at MACU for over a year mentoring and guiding students in their fieldwork experience prior to graduation.  She continues to focus her research on chronic illness and grief.
