Amélia Oliveira Carvalho

Amélia Carvalho is a PhD in Management from School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP), with specialization in Accounting and Management Control. Master in Accounting and Management from the University of Minho (EEG) and Bachelor in Economics (UPT). Research areas: Accounting, and Financial and Non-Financial Reporting, Management and Accountability in the Third Sector, Transparency and Governance. Lecturer for more than two decades at the Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão do Politécnico do Porto (ESTG-P.PORTO), in the areas of Business Sciences present in the Undergraduate and Master Degrees. She was Vice-President ESTG-P.PORTO and also Director of the Degree in Business Sciences. She collaborated as a teacher in other institutions of Higher Education, particularly in the area of Accounting and Taxation of the Third Sector. Currently, she is President of the Scientific-Technical Council of ESTG-P.PORTO. Integrated member of CIICESI-Center for Innovation and Research in Business Sciences and Information Systems. Member of the Scientific Committee in several international and national conferences and congresses, as well as in international journals. Extensive experience in guiding master's theses/projects and participation in juries of public examinations. Author and co-author of several scientific articles and reviewer in several journals. She was active in the e-Learning and Pedagogical Innovation Unit of the Polytechnic of Porto (EIPP) and held for several years the position of public manager and director in regional organizations.
