Alkistis Papaioannou

Papaioannou Alkistis is an Adjunct Faculty Tutor of Sport Management. She is teaching sport management at the post-graduate level (Hellenic Open University and Democritus University of Thrace) and business management at the undergraduate level (University of Patras and University of West Attica) & post-graduate level (Open University of Cyprus), as well as Tourism Management at the post-graduate and undergraduate level (Hellenic Open University and University of Patras). She received her M.Sc. in human performance and health from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, and her Ph.D. and PostDoc from the University of Peloponnese, Greece, specialized in sport management. Her research interests include Human Resources Management, strategic management and entrepreneurship/innovation issues applied in service organizations, including sport and tourism organizations. She is currently reviewing scientific manuscripts submitted to international and Greek scientific journals. Parallel to her teaching and research activities Dr Papaioannou has and still is actively involved in a number of research projects in areas related to her academic interests, many of which have been co-financed by the EU.
