Ali Rehman

Ali Rehman received Ph.D from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2020 in the area of Risk and Corporate Governance and MSc from Birmingham City University in the area of Audit Risk and Consultancy. He is currently working in A’Sharqiyah University as Director of Internal Audit and is also Board Member for Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Oman Chapter. He is knowledgeable Auditing and accounting professional bringing more than 21 years of experience in academic, research, audit, finance and corporate governance. As a holder of professional certifications such as Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA – UK), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Risk Assurance Management (CRMA) he have successfully revamped and strengthened controls and implemented Corporate Governance Maturity Framework in various organisations. He is champion in reorganising processes and simplifying procedures to maximise efficiency and accuracy of accounting and operational records. He was also awarded with World Top 100 “Driver of Audit Excellence” by Dilligent. He is performing part time teaching in various Universities. He has written several book chapters and research articles which are published in esteemed journals and books indexed in Scopus and WOS.
