Alexander G. Flor

Alexander G. FlorAlexander G. Flor is a UP Scientist, Full Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies, University of the Philippines (Open University). He holds the One UP Professorial Chair on Knowledge Management (KM4D), serves as Senior Research and Extension Fellow of the UP Resilience Institute, and coordinates the UPOU Doctor of Communication program. Formerly Vice Chancellor for research and development, he was the first Chair of the Commission on Higher Education-Technical Committee on Alternative Learning Systems. He was Research Fellow at the East West Center Institute of Culture and Communication, Honolulu, under the Fulbright-PAEF program (1989-1991). For the past 35 years, Professor Flor has been engaged as technical adviser to international development assistance undertakings in 16 countries.
