Alba Gómez-Ortega

Alba Gómez-Ortega has a degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, 2010, with extraordinary award. PhD in Business Economics, year 2015, by Universidad Rey Juan Carlos with outstanding mention cum laude and extraordinary doctorate award. Master's Degree in Financial Auditing and Risks from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles. Professor in the area of Accounting and Finance in the Department of Business Economics at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos since 2016. In her professional experience she has six years in the auditing firm KPMG, specifically in financial sector auditing, reaching the position of audit manager. She is a member of the Observatory of Costs and Financing of Collective Urban Transport, of the European Academy of Management and Business Economics (AEDEM), of the Spanish Association of University Professors of Accounting (ASEPUC) and collaborator of the international scholarship program PIBE of the Spanish Association of Accounting and Business Administration (AECA). She is the author of several publications in journals, books and papers, both nationally and internationally, in the areas of accounting, banking, auditing and urban transport. She also carries out research work in teaching innovation in the subjects she teaches at the University. She is currently co-director of the Master's Degree in Auditing and Higher Accounting.
