Abul Pitre

Dr. Abul Pitre is Professor of Africana Studies and Educational Leadership at San Francisco State University. He completed his doctoral degree from Colorado State University in Education and Human Resource with an emphasis on Educational Leadership. His undergraduate and master’s degrees were completed at Southern University Baton Rouge. For his outstanding work on Africana education he was selected as the Carter G. Woodson Professor at Edinboro University. He has authored and co-edited over thirty books. A major focus of his work has been the development of Elijah Muhammad studies.
