Abirami Subramanian

Abirami Subramanian is an Environmental Science Research Scholar in the School of Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Studies, Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi. She is the recipient of the Savitribai Phule Fellowship and holds a UGC-NET (LS) qualification in Environmental Science. She received her undergraduate (2017) and postgraduate (2019) degrees in Zoology from the Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She also obtained her Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Change from Indira Gandhi National Open University. She was a First Proficiency holder (Gold medalist) in her M.Sc and a Third Proficiency holder in her B.Sc. She had authored/co-authored 2 book chapters and 2 research articles and also presented 3 papers at national and international conferences. Her research interest includes Environmental Science, Environmental and Applied Microbiology, and Geomicrobiology.
