Introduction

Every nation has its diverse population who speak different languages, have different cultures, and other religions; unity keeps binding this diverse population together under one nation (Tran et al., 2012). A country is identified by its people. Attitude, emotion, anger, hard work, values, beliefs, patriotism, etc., are the traits of a population that, if present in a good ratio, can promote favourable growth of the nation & vice-versa. Likewise, the entire globe needs to awaken itself to contribute towards environmental care, as this has become a macro environment issue, which can heal only through economic integration, sustainable collaborations, green technology adaptation, society contribution, financial inclusion, and green innovation (Caiado et al., 2018). The United Nations 2015 adopted 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), which aim to reduce environmental abuse, population below the poverty line, hunger, inequality, and waste & promote economic growth through sustainable practices, green technology, financial inclusions, prosperity, favourable global trade practices, and sustainable collaborations. Promoters support these objectives to achieve a sustainable economy by 2030.

Green technology, or clean or sustainable technology, is a game-changing strategy to solve urgent environmental issues while fostering economic and social well-being. Green technology's fundamental goal is to provide novel solutions that minimise carbon emissions, conserve natural resources, and positively influence the environment. These technologies include many uses, including waste management, energy-efficient construction, sustainable transportation, and renewable energy sources like solar and wind power. The adoption of green technology is driven by the rising understanding of the critical need to mitigate climate change, decrease pollution, and assure resource sustainability. Traditional industrial practices are no longer viable in light of the environmental problems caused by climate change, pollution, and resource depletion. Governments, corporations, and people are adopting eco-friendly practices in reaction to this, and green technology is essential in establishing a more sustainable future for our world. Creating renewable energy sources is one of the pillars of green technology. Solar, wind, and hydroelectric power are increasingly being used to provide clean and sustainable energy. This lessens our dependency on fossil fuels and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, energy-efficient technology is being incorporated into industrial processes, appliances, and buildings, which helps to save operating costs and decrease energy usage (Eriksson, 2018). The fast uptake of sustainable transportation options like electric cars and enhanced public transit networks further reduce our everyday journeys' carbon impact. Beyond energy, green technology also impacts resource conservation and waste management. Our waste materials have a minimal environmental effect thanks to recycling and waste-to-energy operations, while agricultural advancements like precision farming and water-saving methods help produce food sustainably (Nonami, 2016). Cleaner manufacturing techniques are also encouraged by green technology, with an emphasis on lowering waste, emissions, and harmful byproducts.

Green technology is important for many reasons than just protecting the environment. Its effects on the economy and society are significant. The green technology industry is now a major contributor to economic expansion, creating jobs and promoting innovation. Adopting sustainable practices also improves the health and well-being of communities by lowering air and water pollution, increasing energy efficiency, and averting disasters caused by climate change. On a national and international level, green technology is needed and required for a sustainable life (Chan, 1993; Etezadi et al., 2010). Many countries have realised the value of sustainability and have established challenging goals to cut carbon emissions and move towards a greener economy. Multinational firms are simultaneously incorporating sustainability into their supply networks and business structures. Customers are becoming more environmentally concerned and are seeking goods and services that adhere to green values.
