Throughout 2017, the IGI Global Database team has been working closely with many academic consortia to bring innovative and emerging content to member institutions. IGI Global is proud to announce that it is continuing its longtime partnership with the German Consortia National Library of Economics (ZBW), the world’s largest research infrastructure for economic literature, to bring e-books and e-journals to German institutions.

For over five years, IGI Global has created customized solutions for ZBW through its e-journals and e-journal collections, as leading institutions have access to over 175 peer-reviewed journals Then, in 2016, IGI Global was selected to be the first e-book partner of ZBW and the consortia invested in IGI Global e-books, with a special offering of the InfoSci®-Books Database to its members providing access to up to 3,900+ innovative e-books. They called the partnership a "marvelous cooperation," as many German institutions and libraries now have a significant number of IGI Global’s e-books to utilize within their university communities.

“ZBW selected IGI Global to be its first e-book partner because of their emerging content which is in-demand, their e-resources policies, and their commitment to working closely with the consortium and the individual libraries to assist with the use of e-books,” stated Sindy Wegner, Manager of Legal Affairs and Licensing for ZBW.

Through having access to the InfoSci®-Books Database, institutions within the consortia have access to forward-thinking research, and they can take full advantage of IGI Global’s award-winning InfoSci® platform, which provides all titles in full-text PDF and XML format with no DRM and an unlimited number of users. Additionally, It provides librarians with friendly features including COUNTER 4 Compliant Reports, Downloadable MARC Records, Google Scholar Subscriber Links, and archival access through CLOCKSS and LOCKSS, all with no service or maintenance fees.

IGI Global is proud to continue this partnership and looks forward to the continued collaboration with this consortium. For more information on library and consortia partnership opportunities, please click here.

This inconsistency leads to unfair penalties in the criminal justice system, where individuals in legal states can still face federal prosecution.
