Are Majority of Voters Emotionally Driven During Election Season? In CNBC’s recent article, Goldstein said, "It turns out there is only one thing that explains people's vote switching: how the advertising made them feel.” Considering the constant negativity surrounding politics in the media, it is important to recognize how emotions drive an individual’s voting decision. The public is pulled in a multitude of directions with news, that may or may not be reliable, which is why it is crucial to educate the public with factual content.

In an era where the concept of fake news is widespread, it is time to start paying attention to the facts, which is why IGI Global's scholarly research remains invaluable when making concrete decisions. The chapter titled "Critical Role of Emotions in Media Events: Anger Dynamics in Political Scandals" delves into the role emotions are playing when it comes to the media and politics.
